02 / DATABASE

Install PostgreSQL

Pahal Retail stores your business records in a PostgreSQL database on the store computer. Use the official Windows installer, which also includes pgAdmin.

Open PostgreSQL download PostgreSQL is installed separately and is not included in the Pahal Retail download.
BEFORE YOU STARTWhat you need
  • 64-bit Windows 10 or 11
  • PostgreSQL installed and running
  • An empty database and database login
  • A Pahal Retail license for this computer
Get installation help

First installation: Windows may show an unknown publisher or SmartScreen message because the current early-access executable is not yet code-signed. Internet is needed to download the installers and exchange the license; everyday billing runs on the local computer.
